Wales Rugby Squad squeezes inside Worlds smallest cinema

The Wales Rugby squad met the Worlds smallest cinema today. The unique
Swansea based mobile movie theatre was used by BBC to interview Wales
captain Sam Warburton and George North. The 1.9m high players squeezed
themselves into the converted caravan.

The Sol Cinema -a micro movie house powered entirely by the Sun. Complete
with smartly dressed usherette and red carpet, the tiny movie theater
showed former Rugby matches to the players.

Artist Jo Furlong and friends designed the micro cinema by
recycling a 1972  twin berth caravan to accommodate 8 adults in comfort
for a unique cinematic experience. The Sol Cinema has toured all over UK
and Ireland.

Sol Cinema projectionist Paul O’Connor said
‘Having such prestigious players inside the Sol Cinema was wonderful. We
look forward to the public response when it is broadcast on Friday before
the match’

The interviews with the Sol Cinema will be broadcast on BBC before Wales V
France game on Friday.

Sol Cinema designer Jo Furlong added
‘The Sol Cinema has been lavished with pride and style and runs entirely
on renewable energy. We use an low energy LED video projector and lithium
batteries to store the energy from the Sun.Our photovoltaic panels harness
the sunlight, even as the films are being shown, so we never run out of
power.’
