The Supporting Sustainable Living Grant scheme is designed to
support projects aiming to reduce Wales's greenhouse gas emissions and
encouraging Welsh citizens to make sustainable lifestyle choices.
Grants of £5,000 to £15,000 are available, with grants of
£35,000 being available in exceptional circumstances. Up to 50% of
projects costs may be supported; however 75% may be made available in
exceptional circumstances.The funding will take three stages:
- Stage 1: Project Development Grants - helping applicants to research areas where they could tackle climate change and to identify the methods, tools and budget necessary to achieve a positive impact.
- Stage 2: Implementation Grants - helping applicants to pilot projects that are aimed at influencing specific behaviours or lifestyle choices that will tackle the causes and consequences of climate change.
- Stage 3: Replication Grants - for applicants that have already successfully piloted one behaviour change project to roll it out on a larger scale.
Applications are accepted on a quarterly basis. The funding provider has recently announced the following deadlines for 2013: 5 March 2013; 7 May 2013; 10 July 2013.
