iDocumentary Now!

iDocumentary Now! brings together scholars, filmmakers, students, and
interested members of the public to discuss current trends in documentary
film, from the return of documentary as a theatrical box office phenomenon,
to broadcast television, the web, and beyond. It explores questions of
industry, audiences, aesthetics, political engagement, documentary's
relationship to the mainstream media and other many other issues. What's
new in documentary? Where is documentary headed?

They welcome ALL proposals on topics related to documentary. The theme for
this year's conference is Riots and Revolution! so there will be a strand
on this topic. Workshops and performances also considered.
AVPhD proposals are strongly invited and will be considered along with all
others; there will be no separate AVPhD strand this year.

If you would like to give a 20 minute presentation/performance at the
conference OR send proposals for themed panels/workshops of 3-4 people,
please send proposals (including 250-300 word abstracts of papers) to
documentarynow2012@gmail.com.

The deadline for proposals has been extended to Friday 10th February.

There is no fee for attendance but registration is required.
