Yodel couriers are so crap

One week ago today I ordered 3 x i-Phones for our staff. They were supposed to be delivered by Yodel Couriers last Friday.

A week later I am still waiting- excuses have ranged from not being able to find our office (no other courier has a problem) to turning up after office hours and wondering why no-one is answering...Doh!
I have emailed them for explanations and I still haven't got a reply- phoning them does little good either. So today speaking to the Carphone Warehouse, they have stated that they are also having loads of problems with Yodel and are ending their contract with the crap courier.
I am not alone either..a quick search finds other tales of woe.First called Home Delivery Network then rebranded as “Yodel” because of complaints. They bought DHL Domestic last year so they can be big and crap at the same time.So moral of the story is - if you need a courier don't use Yodel

I definitely back this too. First they deliver me a green 'you were out' card when I was actually in all day. And then I book a redelivery time for the item online, take the day off work to wait for it, and then when I call them to track it, they say that it was ordered for that day and then "cancelled at customer's request" - now why would I do that?? So I've now taken the day off work, and had to order redelivery for tomorrow, yet I said I needed to be in a meeting between 2-3pm, but will arrange to be in all day outside that hour. Well, apparently they can't give times, but what's the betting that they come between 2-3pm??

I back this too - they are utter s****e. I waited in for the whole day today. I checked the delivery status online to find that my delivery had been returned to the depot as they couldn't find my house.
Okay, I live in the countryside, big deal. I left the house name, the street, postcode and phone number with these idiots. My street may look out of the way on Google Maps or something but you really couldn't miss my house if you'd bothered to drive to the street OR the postcode. My only other experience with this shower of shit of a business ended with the same result. But, that time, I was living in a city and took a day of work only to find a 'green card' in my letterbox. I swear the driver had parked up and sneaked up on my house to leave the card. ]
Yodel are a disgrace. I've now got to go to my brothers 40th birthday tomorrow without his gift.

I agree - took a day off to receive a delivery from them and they did not bother ringing the doorbell (they must have tapped very lightly on door instead!) There were two cars in my driveway, a few windows left open so I could listen out for them and the front-door was not even locked. One does wonder if the drivers are on some kind of commission scheme for each delivery attempt rather than successfull delivery. 10 days later I am still without my parcel despit re-arranging 3 times.
I will be boycotting all suppliers using them from here on - starting with Eurocarparts.

yep they really are rubbish, dhl gave us some problems but within a few months of them being yodell there's been more problems than with a whole year of dhl!

Yodel may just be the worse delivery service and customer service and useless website ever. I will make sure that I never again order from any seller who uses Yodel.

It's not always couriers fault, distribution warehouse is a shambles, my husband has just started as a courier with yodel and began by delivering catalogues, what a shambles, 6 vans to deliver one order of catalogues, then expected 10 days work to be done in 5, so spare a thought sometimes it is always as it seems

Anonymous said...

think also of the courier getting the blame for all sorts of problems and all for the princely sum of 65p per parcel in all sorts of weather

Paul O' Connor said...

Thanks for your comments. When I talk about the couriers I am talking about the firm and not just the drivers.

I blame the managers, the owners, the warehouse and the drivers- they all have a hand in running the company professionally, yet what I have experienced is a shambles.

I HATE YODEL!!! ignorant, unhelpfull and uncaring staff - lost a days wages waiting to find "returned to depot",no green card now i have to pick it up myself and when i do i will demand petrol money and my delivery charge back! - IDIOTS..

'Yodel' are the most incompetent bunch of idiots I have ever experienced. Every time they try to deliver, they cock up. Good's not delivered when promised, left when the instructions were clearly NOT to, goods thrown over the gate and damaged, or green card left, with no parcel number, so that when you try to use their automated service for re-delivery, you can only progress so far. The complete crettin that I spoke to in their so called 'customer care' centre this morning, actually hung up on me, because he couldn't answer my question!

I have advised 3 online companies that use these pratts, to find another courier, or lose my custom, and God knows how many more.

I have absolutely no sympathy for the staff, be they delivery drivers or ofice staff. This company deserves to go under!

I have just started driving for them and i find your comments very rude ! we are under imense pressure to make 70 + deliverys a day .... Some days i am working 14 hrs + , Its not the drivers faults thigns are going wrong.... We try our hardest . I have been out of work 3 years and trying to earn some money to feed my family.....

Yodel are a joke but it's an even bigger joke that any Yodel employee would write on here about their difficulties! Sympathy? Get lost!

I have nothing but problems with Yodel and I am currently trying to find out why my parcel was delivered back at the service centre instead of to me. Apparently, the driver 'ran out of time' - at 5pm when they are meant to deliver until 9!!

I now have to take ANOTHER day off of work due to their incompetence.

Why large sellers use them, I have no idea... except they are cheap! that may be so but cheap isn't always cheerful!

I would advise any Yodel employees reading this (those that can read that is... have you ever tried to converse with anyone at what I loosely term the 'Customer Service' Centre?) to work for someone else.

From conversations I've been having with others about this, Yodel are the most hated and considered most useless couriers of all!

Anonymous said...

their management is shite as well full of idiots with big bellies

Speaking as a Yodel courier (from the DHL@home side), I'd like to say that half the time when people get a green card they don't even bother to call. I leave my mobile number on the card so you can contact me direct and will go out of my way often to please a customer. The service we provide is no worse than many others, a colleague of mine was delivering to a block of flats recently and the ParcelForce guy didn't even get the parcel out of his van or ring the buzzer before leaving a card!! Just remember, you are not the only person waiting for a delivery and 8 out of 10 of my customers receive their parcel either early or on time.

Anonymous said...

Got to be the worst firm ever!!
And yes it is some times the drivers fault.
Says he couldn't access building to either deliver parcel or leave a card despite me being in all day and no delivery anywhere near my house. He must be a midget if he couldn't reach my letter box to leave a card at least. Rearranged delivery only for them to not turn up again. No point phoning you get no where. 2 weeks on and I still have not been united with parcel. PlEASE STOP USING THIS FIRM

I ordered Modern Warfare 3 from a catalogue and the courier they use is Yodel, it was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday 8th November. They said they were unable to deliver and they had left a card (which they didn't) so i rearranged for today so i made sure i would be in all day so they had no excuses. Now they tell me that they had no access to the property. I have now rearranged for tomorrow, cant wait to see what excuse they come up with tomorrow.
Bloody useless. I'm seriously livid right now.

Ok, obviously you have all had bad experiences, and yes every company has bad employees, but I've worked as a courier for Yodel (previously DHL) for over 2 years now, and there are some brilliant loyal couriers at my branch! We do our best every day to please customers. We give out our personal numbers on the cards, and if we do miss you when u have popped out or are in the loo we will often go straight back if contacted by the customer. I take calls from carded drops often up until I go to bed, even though we don't get paid anything extra for this part of our job! I have been known to take a redelivery call at 11pm! Try getting hold of the post office at that time of night! We do NOT get paid for attempted delivery, unlike some other companies, we only get paid when the parcel is delivered, so not delivering it is not in our interest!! Why would we come all the way to a customers house just to drop a card and leave without knocking, because we also do NOT get paid any fuel or milage and this has to come out of our own wages. daily I have customers commenting what a fantastic service we provide but none of that is ever written on these sites.

Paul O' Connor said...

I am sure there are some great workers within Yodel but they seem to be the exception rather than the norm.

I wish I had some of the couriers who were as contentious as you. However every single time I have a Yodel delivery they screw it up.

Francis said...

up until now i have had no problems. i do appreciate that is a hard job, i think it would be easier if the couriers were allowed to carry mobile phones so that you can call the customer if any problems arise concerning delivery. a lot of negativity (including myself) but how many of the posts on here actually try for some feedback as to how to improve the system.

Paul O' Connor said...

Francis- I, probably like most people commenting here have tried to contact Yodel. But their customer service is useless. Nearly impossible to get any response from them. SO giving feedback doesn't work.

This is why we are all making comments here. Yodel will hear about these complaints and hopefully do better in future.

Francis said...

Paul- i do agree with you, their excuse today is that it is being held at gatwick depo at customers request which is complete and utter b*****it. My point was when i talked to them yesterday i suggested that it might be a good idea if the driver had my mobile number but i was told that they dont carry mobile phones with them which i thought was a bit odd considering the job they do(or dont do)

Anonymous said...

Totally agree with all these comments, have waited in all day for a delivery, then at 7pm called to see if they were going to deliver and they say they tried and i could not be contacted, bunch of liers no one came to deliver and no card was left.. how do these kind of poor businesses ever get contract's with the likes of carphone warehouse!!

Tuesday - green "you were out" card when I was in ALL day. He can't have even knocked the door otherwise the dogs would have heard him.

Rang them up - rearranged for Thursday.

Today is Wednesday (not Thursday!!) - got home to find another green card with "x2" scribbled on it.

Rang them up again - Thursday is not not possible & it's going to be Friday.

How many times do I have rearrange MY schedule to accept delivery from a company that doesn't even know which day of the week it is?

Yodel use "self employed" couriers who are expected to use their own vehicles (a car is fine - I checked) and store customers' parcels in their own homes. As far as I can see their payment rates are sub minimum wage but that's ok because their staff are "self employed". Which is why they can undercut Royal Mail. Welcome to the future of the UK postal service.

According to Yodel's tracking system, my order went 'out for delivery' at 2.43pm last Thursday. Their depot (Chandlers Ford) is about 20 miles from where I live - I could easily have walked there and back twice by now. In fairness to Amazon, their Customer Service is being very helpful but I think they need to reconsider their delivery agents in future.

Anonymous said...

Further to the above, Yodel actually rang me back this morning. They admit to a backlog of 3000 packets at their Eastleigh Depot and they don't know where mine is.

Anonymous said...

OMG I wish this could be broadcasted to the world I have never come across such a useless courier service up until now. Exactly the same thing apparently they have left an invisible card saying I was out although I have actually been waiting for this parcel all day. I wish big companies will stop using them life will be so much more simple.

Anonymous said...

Further to 2.52 above, Yodel have finally admitted they don't know where my parcel is. Amazon have agreed to refund my money and cancel the order - they have been fine.

How can the driver post a message on the tracking site to say "Attempted delivery at 8:15pm" when I was sitting here waiting for him? This is just total incompetence!

Anonymous said...

i have problem with yodel too. ive read my email and statuses about delivery, apparently someone has signed for my parcel at this address, but ive never heard of this person from this area. surely if they deliver they will give you a green card saying that someone has got it for you to collect? ive been waiting for 3 days for this delivery and have to book 3 days off work. i never have problem with delivery before because i get the same driver, so obviously there is a new driver who aint got a clue where i live or delivered to a wrong address. all i can say is that yodel sucks!!

Anonymous said...

I have tried four times to get yodel to pick Up parcels for delivery and have been let down every time. I run my own business and have around sixty parcels a week to go out, they just don't turn up and to top it all you have to fight tooth and nail to get your money back.
We used home delivery network (now changed to yodel) no problems at all, what a difference a name change

Ordered a £300 laptop for my 12 year old daughter's Christmas from Tesco Direct on 3.12.11. It was meant to be delivered by Yodel on 9.12.11.

Never showed up and Tesco now (3 days before Christmas) tell me that they reckon that Yodel have "lost the laptop"!!!! Tesco don't seem to care much about that and suggested that I "start again".

Very poor!

It’s clear, from last night, that The latest blogger to experience Yodel says

'it’s utterly pointless talking to Yodel – they either leave you hanging on the line until you get cut off, or simply don’t answer – or just pour a torrent of bullshit in your ear if they do. And I can tell you, from personal experience, that they don’t reply to online inquiries which detail their fuckuppery and ask for an explanation and a firm delivery date.'

The first one was delivered a day late, and the second was delivered to the wrong address in a different town 12miles away---The driver had to retrieve it the following day and then re-deliver it to me. Same story. Waited in all day - no delivery. Checked website, it says they called at 12.15pm and left a card.

This was utter rubbish - oh and quite a coincidence that both the doorbell was silent and there was no card.

Call centre was utterly unhelpful - no customer service at all; all defensive gobbledygook about how hard it is to leave a card with glass doors. If that were the case then why say a card was left...

You can't argue with stupidity.

Why are so many enterprises like Woolworths et al going bust and this company is still in business? I am going to check every web purchase in future and will not buy if it involves Yodel.

What an amazing organisation. Absolutely no communicationbetween them at all. I raised a complaint on19/01/12 and was assured that the manager at Nantgarw would call me back. No call by 25/01 so I called the office. "Sorry she's in a meeting," Ms. Hurley did call back later in the day but said she was Unaware of the problem. She assured me she would call back yesterday, but needless to say, this didn't happen.
I therefore called again this morning, and Guess what, another meeting. I await with interest subsequent excuses

Most INCOMPETENT COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF DEALING WITH!!!
I ordered a pair of shoes from an online store, I wasn't in when Yodel came to deliver, and received a green card (no big deal as I'm never in when couriers come as I WORK!)
So, I went on the Yodel site, and told them I'd collect the item from their depot.
On the agreed date, I went to their depot (having left work early to do so!) only to be told that “I wouldn't be collecting the item from there” as it was in another Yodel depot (?!).
With it being rush hour, and their depot being located in the busiest area in the town, I asked the guy at the depot to call the driver, and get the driver to leave it in my garage the next day when he could redeliver.
So I left, a little hacked off that I'd had a wasted journey, but happy I'd managed to get an arrangement in place which means I'd get my item.
So, I was shocked when I received yet another green card - the driver had completely disregarded the instruction agreed on the prev day.
Got on the phone to their 'customer services' (and I use the term vaguely) they 'didn't know why' this had happened, and asked if they could redeliver to a neighbour the next day. I agreed to this. She told me that they would leave a card for me to tell me where they left it.
So, after a couple of days with no card having been left, I called up 'customer services' again.
The woman said that the driver had delivered it to a neighbour, but didn't leave a note which one. – My item was somewhere....But where? – I didn’t know, and neither did yodel!
So, I asked how I was going to get my item. Her response??
DRUM ROLL PLEASE...
"Oh, if you could just go round to your neighbours, and a few houses nearby and ask them if they have the item!!!!"
Can you imagine?! – Hello Sir, has a non-named company left a package for me?!?!
Are you KIDDING ME?! I was number 60 in a street of over 150 houses!!
I contacted the folk I'd ordered the item from and got them to refund me.
What a joke, miles in the car, several prem rate minutes on the phone, and NO ITEM!
I now email all companies I order from before I place an order.
Unfortunately, this YODEL company are so unbelievably S*** that if a company uses them, I don't order from them. I have had to quit shopping at some of my fav stores as a result, but I just can't deal with this company.
There’s a petition going to get Amazon (I’m presuming one of Yodels biggest customers) to stop using Yodel – I urge you to sign it!

I am so disgusted with Yodel and their drivers! i was still am waiting for a parcel to be returned to a company it was supposed to be picked up on thursday instead their driver turned up on the wedensday as the item had not be repackaged (was a tv for my disabled son) i got a pile of abuse from the driver for waste his time etc thinking he would come back on thursday as arranged i waited in only to waste a day and they didnt bother come back. I rearranged for monday and tried to put in complaint about driver but yodel dont keep track of where their drivers are seeminly! be warned get the driver to sign a bit paper state that they have picked up your parcel as they wipe their wee computers so as far as we aware they could keep our things and state they did not pick up, this was a warning from a major company. YODEL and 90% of the drivers YOUR USELESS

yep, another failed delivery....
They sent me a link which showed a delay on route. Then it showed Consignee Cannot Be Reached - we had been in all that day and work from home so taking no crap on that one.
Then the vendor informed them it could be left in the hay barn - apparently they've now left it in the hay barn, no sign of it and no confirmation slip - I was in a the time stated for delivery and sitting by the door/window!! Looks like the vendor is considering redelivery of another package through a more reliable courier service.

I'm now worried after reading all these comments. I bought something from Ling Electronics, who I'd never used before. Got an email to say my item was despatched on 9th but as of today, 16th, no parcel. Checked Yodel online and they reckon a delivery attempt was made at 5.55pm on 9th when someone was in and every day subsequently before 8am. This is a lie. No delivery attempts have been made and no cards left.
Can I demand a refund from Ling??

As a female Yodel courier driver, one with a brain, can drive and don't have a "Fat arse that I can be bothered getting off of to ring a doorbell" Poor grammar I know but copying what someone said on here.
Why would a courier put a green card through your door if you were in? Our whole objective is to deliver your parcel first time as we DO NOT get paid for attempted deliveries. If we have to come back to your door we do it without getting paid and only if the parcel is delivered do we get paid, if we attempt delivery 3 times and no one is home we get nothing!!. Perhaps all the people who say they have received a green card through their doors when they were actually in, are either deaf or so slow to arrive at the door because they were on sites like these ranting and raving and talking nonsense. We get paid very little, have to put up with rude, obnoxious and infuriating people just like yourselves but still smile and hand over your parcel. Why not moan about important things in life, things that actually matter? Not whether your Xbox game or new skirt is a day or two late. It's actually quite shallow when you think of all the important things in life, illness, disability, abuse, criminal activity etc etc. Keep your strong emotions and vent your anger for a worthy cause, not because you missed your local Yodel courier, you may just find she/he is a very nice person who is working their fingers to the bone for very little pay. Think about it.

Anonymous said...

As for that Female Yodel driver, I agree with what you say about people ranting, but at the end of the day when you have a present you are waiting for for your child and it does not arrive and no one take the blame its very frustrating , if you pay for a service it should be delivered, simple as that. These people are not looking for answers to crime, poverty or even world peace, but put it into perspective, do your job proprley and there would not be a need for people to complain.I dont think 100 people go together and created a little club to make up complaints about a company, there are genuine issues that should be resolved by Customer services. Its not hard really is it?

Belisa Swansdowne said...

To the female Yodel driver: I checked my parcel tracking and saw that a downright lie had been recorded ('no one to receive card'). As FOUR people were in the house at the time of delivery, I find it incredibly upsetting that both Yodel and an employee find it acceptable to trivialise and lie about your service. And please note...this is not the first time Yodel have messed up a delivery for me. As my partner works from home and my elderly mother lives with me, there is ALWAYS someone available for delivery...AND I have a window sticker by the door asking people to wait a short while due to an elderly person residing in the house, just in case. I now have a policy of informing the company sending the parcel of any such discrepancies in Yodel's service, and frankly, hope that the vendors change to a more reliable company ASAP.

Belisa Swansdowne said...

Oh, and did I make it clear that no card was pushed through the door at all? And that two of those four people at home were right by the door at the supposed time of delivery? And finally...here's the killer...I have a large dog who barks EXTREMELY LOUDLY at the slightest tap on the door.

radeck.com said...

Same here in Belfast. Spent whole day home to read, to my astonishment, a note on tracking site:

"No One To Receive Card Left".

Of course no one was here nor card was left. I rang their "help line". One of pre-recorded messages says that I need to "obtain" failed delivery card to get my parcel. So I spoke with an "advisor" who called herself Charlotte. She told me (quite robotic, script reader way) that it is NOT possible to pick the parcel myself until I gt the card and the only way to obtain the card is ... to await another delivery attempt.

After 25 minutes of going in circles I give up and rang once more - this time selected "feedback" and was told that I CAN go to service centre and pick up my parcell all right ...

Just waste of time and worst reliability I ever seen ...

On the morning of march 6th, I received a text that my parcel was on the way I stayed in till about 4 pm no delivery, so I call yodel only to be told that they did receive my parcel at the eastleigh branch early enough for it to go out for delivery but that they will deliver on march 7th. Ok fine, I went out in morning expecting that by the time I come back there will be a we missed you card, I got back before 10am I then tracked the parcel to it status only to be shock with the words "Receiver Refused the Parcel", I called their customer service and explained to them that I live alone in my flat so I'm not sure who refused the parcel if no one else live in my flat with me. My keys were in pocket surely the driver could not have spoken to my door or did he? Maybe yodel drivers are capable of doing or saying strange things as I have learned on here today. I called carphonewarehouse and they called yodel to find out from the driver why he said the parcel was refused, I was at the other end of the line whilst all this was going. I was told it was a mistake and that they can assure me that the driver will come back later to re-deliver. I waited till 9pm as I was to but nothing happen again I went online to check my parcel status only to see that it was returned to depot by 17:15 whilst I sat there till 9pm waiting for the idiots. By that time I couldn't call all offices are close but I cannot wait for later on today to deal with both carphonewarehouse and yodel.

I am amazed that Carphonewarehouse are still using Yodel. The manager of the shop told me they were sacking them after they took a week to deliver my iphones (and then still couldn't find my office so had to deliver them to a local shop). The manager said they had so many complaints about Yodel that they were sacking them. So much for that as the latest comment shows Yodel and Carphonewarehouse are still are a union!

:( everytime yodel "delivers" we've had problems. 1 phone went missing, and a case was opened againist them with carphone warehouse. All my other deliveries I have to go collect from depot because they cant locate me. Do they not have uptodate sat navs, or can they not ring to ask for directions!! Customer service is shocking, totally unreliable!

I'm a self employed Yodel courier and whilst I agree that the management of the company is a shambles some of the comments regarding the actual couriers that have been left on here are incorrect and frankly ludicrious. Lots of people claim that green cards were left without the couriers knocking at the door. This makes no sense as the couriers are paid PER PARCEL not per attempted delivery. It is in their interests to deliver the parcel at the first attempt otherwise the have to pay more out in fuel and time to revisit the property. Some other comments have been made that we are 'supposed to deliver until 9pm'. We are not 'supposed' to deliver until 9pm we are ALLOWED to deliver until 9pm. Funnily enough after spending the whole day delivering parcels when someone phones me up and asks me the deliver a single parcel at eight thirty in the evening they get a polite NO. It also continues to amaze me people who order next day delivery knowing full well that they are not going to be in during normal working hours and then moan when they don't have their parcel. Every time I attempt a delivery I leave a card with my personal number to call. I would estimate that less than half of the people call back. Finally can I suggest that if you are unhappy with your couriers that you get off you fat lazy arses, do some exercise and go to the shop and get you items from there.

Get off your arse, yeah we should do that and put yopu out of business,

It is good to see company loyalty from employees but writing that all the people who have left comments here are lying is ridiculous. Why would so many people just make up the same story about the green cards?

Sure, some Yodel drivers are probably great at their jobs such as yourself. But from my own and many others here, the experience we all share from Yodel is one of unprofessionalism, and a total lack of customer service.

I have been a customer of Littlewoods Mail Order for over 15 years and my orders were delivered by the Home Delivery Network van operating out of the Woolston Grange, Warrington (depot). I always had the same driver and I could guarantee that any delivery would arrive between 14.00 and 14.30 hours. Service was first class. I knew my driver so much so that if we passed on the road, he would wave or if he had a parcel for me he would signal to me and hand it over on the road. Simply brilliant but then came along Yodel and they closed the depot on Woolston Grange in Warrington and made the superb delivery drivers redundant on the 1st January 2012. It has now gone completely tits up.

Bring back my regular van driver and get rid of the second rate self employed couriers !!!

I agree entirely with Anon about the drivers from the Woolston Grange, Warrington depot. They were simply the best.

Re-open this depot and rescue your business before evryone abandons Yodel !!!

Self employed couriers in cars are NO SUBSTITUTE - THIS IS WHERE YODEL HAS LOST THE PLOT !!!

Thank to Yodel, I have waited a week for an item from Amazon.

In that week, the item took 24 hrs to reach Yodel, it was then taken to a town no-where near to my home address, where the item was refused. The item then spent another three days going to Scotland (the other end of the country!) At which time Amazon wrote and told me they were refunding my money due to unsuccessful delivery!

Yodel are a disgrace and should be put out of business!!!!

Why are Yodel couriers coming on here to say complaining about Yodel is wrong, usually backing up the point by saying they work for very little, or are overworked?
Is it good that a company under-pays staff or leaves them with so much deliveries that they cannot fulfil their promises.
I've had nothing but bad experiences from Yodel.

Im having problems with them as well.
First they lost my parcel for 8 days. When it eventually turned up (after numerous phonecalls) I found the parcel covered in boot prints! On opening I found my item to have been snapped in half! A STEEL replica rifle for re enactment. Now, I would struggle to break it even if I was trying, so god knows what they done to it.
Ive been told by them that itsc probably not going to be covered by insurance, and now they won't return my calls.
£350 down the drain, avoid at all costs!

It makes me sad to read these comments,I'm a courier for this company and have been doing this job for years,I take great pride in what I do,and so do many of my colleges, but for so many of you who have so many problems with delivery is shocking and should not be happening, why? this job is not rocket science,to be fair I know my area like the back of my hand, and have lovely customers, may be new couriers should have more training i know i did,I could go on about pay ect,but there is no excuse for poor deliveries,Is it a postcode lottery as someone else says,if so why is this not being looked into by the powers that be,I know couriers that have been sacked for poor service where I work, and to right,if you can't do the job,I hope all you good couriers out there who do you job with care and pride keep up the good work, knowing full well we are not one of these idiots, morons, you read on here.I hope things will change for the better, there is still some good workers out there and we do care.

BBC Watchdog have investigated Yodel. Watch their report here
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2012/03/yodel.html

Amazon. Currys. Boots. O2. If you've ordered something from any of them, chances are it'll be delivered to your door by Yodel. Or maybe it won't. The company formerly known as HDNL, had a trail of unhappy customers when it featured on Watchdog in 2010. Sixteen months on, new name, new promises - same old problems. Rebecca Willcox reports.

Yodel: New name, but delivering the same old problems?

I googled "how shit is yodel" and came here - obviously very shit! I won't be using two well known internet shopping sites again because of appalling Yodel service in Truro, Cornwall, UK.

What a shower of Shite, lazy, bone idle drivers with no grey matter. Yes, I live in the country. I also have a nameplate at the bottom of my drive telling any literate fool where they are & where I am. Driver said he couldn't find my home, took the parcel back to the depot. Customer service tell me that their drivers are not given company phones and are not obliged to use their own. 'It's at their discretion'. An absolut waste of space as a courier company which should be looked into by the Inland Revenue. They are obviously running at a loss on purpose.

The lack of professional care and customer service within this firm is staggering. I have emailed the company that I bought my goods from and informed them that I will not buy from them again whilst they continue to use this courier. As consumers we deserve a certain degree of service and respect. Sadly Yodel display neither. Forcing individuals to take time off from work is NOT acceptable if they consistently fail to deliver the goods. A dramatic shake up of management staff and customer strategy is needed to avoid this company going into administration in the very near future.

andrew yodel guy.

first thing to say is we only get payed when a parcel is delivered! got that ? good!

second all the people who choose the option 'address only, deliver before 5;30' and know they will be out all day are complete whoppers! most of the time they will ask the courier then to leave with a neigbour or in the back yard etc. SORRY but that is classed as fraud YOU have to sign for it. i'm not going to risk my job for that.

THIRDLY leaving a CALLING card with my own mobile number on and they don't bother to call to rearrange delivery AND IF THEY DO CALL THEY NEVER LEAVE A NUMBER TO CONTACT THEM BACK, AGAIN WHOPPERS!

I HAVE EVEN HAD CUSTOMERS CALL ME TO ASK WHERE I LEFT THE PARCEL AS THEY HAVE 'SEARCHED' EVERYWHERE FOR IT. ITS OBVIOUS THEY HAVEN'T BOTHERED TO LOOK AT ALL SOMETIMES!!!
