London International Documentary Festival (LIDF)


The London International Documentary Festival (LIDF) in association with
the London Review of Books is calling for submissions. The call is open and
international. All subject matter is considered. Films must be produced
after January 1st 2007. First time and established filmmakers all welcome.

The LIDF is scheduled to run for 8 days between 28th March, and Saturday,
April 4th, 2009. Other supporters and venues include: the British Museum,
the Barbican Centre, Curzon Cinemas, and the Roxy Bar and Screen. 2009 sees

We are looking to support new and innovative filmmaking talent, and to ask
filmmakers to participate in a series of intertwining 'conversations' to be
run alongside the screenings. These 'conversations' will involve academics,
journalists, policy-makers, NGOs, and other cultural commentators

A short list of films will be selected by the LIDF for entry to the
