Video Festival wants your film

Slamdance Film Festival and Current are presenting a call for short
documentary films, providing filmmakers the opportunity to participate in
the Park City experience.

Five selected filmmakers will shine on the big screen at the premiere
indie film festival in January 2009 as well as pitch their ideas to a
creative and acquisitions executive from Current TV.

Current TV, the first network created by and for an 18-34 year old
audience, understands that every filmmaker wants to be part of the global
conversation.

Your mission:
Make something fresh, new, authentic and exciting about a topic that is
relevant to you and your community as well as related to current events or
new trends. Content must be 3 - 10 minutes and in documentary format.

The Slamdance programming committee in conjunction with Current TV
creative executives will select five films for special screening at
Slamdance 2009. One representative from each film will receive a festival
pass and a chance to pitch his/her ideas to Current TV creative execs.

o 5 curated films will show @ Slamdance 2009 in theatrical screening.
o 5 curated films will also screen in rotation at Slamdance Happy Hours.
o One representative from each film will receive a filmmaker pass for
Slamdance 2009
o One representative from each film will be provided opportunity for
sit-down lunch and/or conference call with Current TV creative exec
o Each film will be listed in the Slamdance film catalogue
