Free video training for women

If you're a woman and you're passionate about becoming a documentary film
director, then let DFG be the answer to your prayers.

DFG is proud to launch ISIS, an intensive documentary production and
training initiative run free-of-charge that is designed to produce
great human rights films and give talented women the skills they need to
kickstart their careers as documentary film directors.

ISIS will run over a series of weekends in the first half of 2009, and
will include training in proposal development and pitching, directing and
interviewing techniques, HDV camera, and the grammar of editing, amongst
other skills.

It will also include human rights masterclasses with leading experts from
the British Institute of Human Rights and Amnesty International UK.

ISIS participants will then pitch for the chance to produce three short
documentaries on current human rights issues. These documentaries will be
executive-produced and edited by practicing broadcast professionals.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 5pm, 12 November 2008
ISIS Open Day: 18 October 2008
